Libby Burton is currently the VP and Editorial Director at Dey Street Books, where they acquire and edit a variety of nonfiction works. Previously, they held the position of Executive Editor at Penguin Random House from 2020 to 2025 and served as a Senior Editor at Henry Holt & Co. from 2016 to 2020, managing several bestselling titles. Libby also worked as an Editor at Hachette Book Group between 2011 and 2016, acquiring notable works across genres. They began their career in publishing as an Editorial Intern at BOMB Magazine and later at the 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center. Libby is pursuing an MFA in Poetry Writing at Columbia University and holds a BA from the University of Virginia in English and Politics.
