Tom Hoier is a qualified actuary with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Actuary (Vice President) in Strategic Advisory, ERM & Risk Intelligence at Guy Carpenter since April 2022. Prior to this role, Tom worked at KPMG UK from October 2015 to March 2022, progressing from Actuarial Analyst to Assistant Manager and then to Manager & Consulting Actuary. Tom's early professional experience includes work placements at bp and Unilever in 2014 and 2013, respectively. Tom holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, having started this qualification in December 2020.
