Zhili Xu is currently an associate principal at Grimshaw with over 18 years of professional experience in urban and architectural design, including 14 years focused on international airport projects. Since April 2017, Zhili has contributed to the Heathrow 2R and 3R projects, specializing in terminal planning and design while coordinating across various technical disciplines. Zhili led the Shenzhen Airport East Integrated Hub design team from 2021 to 2023, during which time the project garnered two prestigious awards. Prior to joining Grimshaw, Zhili worked for eight years at Foster and Partners on high-profile projects, including the new Doha International Airport. Zhili holds a Master of Architecture degree from UCL.
