Samantha Crandall, PhD, RN, CPHQ, CPPS, possesses extensive experience in patient safety and quality improvement across various healthcare organizations. Crandall served as Director At Large for the Association for Vascular Access from December 2017 to December 2019 and held multiple roles at Sharp HealthCare, including System Patient Safety Specialist and Patient Safety Specialist, until August 2020. Following this, Crandall worked as Patient Safety Officer at San Ramon Regional Medical Center until September 2022, followed by a position at Suburban Hospital as Director of Patient Safety and Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Performance Improvement until March 2025. Currently, Crandall is the Senior Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety at GBMC HealthCare since December 2025. Academically, Crandall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Whittier College, a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Research, both from the University of San Diego.
