Layna McVay is the Senior Manager of Compliance and Controls at Grant County Public Utility District, leveraging over 13 years of experience in the utilities industry with more than a decade focused on NERC/WECC compliance. They previously served as a Compliance Officer and Specialist at the Public Utility District No. 1 of Douglas County, where they implemented NERC reliability compliance programs and promoted risk mitigation through internal controls. Layna holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Social Science from Washington State University, graduating summa cum laude. Currently, they are pursuing an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Business and Communication at Wenatchee Valley College and serve as the Chair of the Western Interconnection Compliance Forum (WICF).
