Zakirah Maarof is a seasoned professional specializing in safety, sustainability, industrial hygiene, and risk management within the data centre, manufacturing, and oil & gas sectors. They began their career as an HSE Executive and Management Trainee at MISC, later serving as Health and Safety Lead at IBM and as an HSE Advisor at Shell. Zakirah held various leadership roles, including Project Environmental, Safety, Health & Compliance Lead at Texas Instruments and currently serves as the Environmental, Health and Safety Program Manager for Data Centre Operations at Google. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Master of Engineering in Occupational Safety, Health & Environment from Universiti Malaya.
