Seiji Armstrong is an AI safety leader currently working at YouTube in the GenAI department. Previously, Seiji held various roles, including Head of ML Infra for AI Content Safety at Google and Principal Data Scientist at several organizations. Seiji earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantum Science from The University of Tokyo and another PhD in Quantum Science from The Australian National University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) with Honours in Physics from the same institution. Seiji's career includes significant contributions to the fields of quantum optics, data science, and machine learning, with a focus on developing responsible and effective technology.
