Kai Cao currently serves as a Biometrics Technical Expert at GOODIX Technology INC. since January 2019, focusing on research in image and video processing algorithms, depth completion, and signal processing. Prior to this, Kai Cao held positions as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate at Michigan State University from September 2012 to January 2019. Earlier academic roles included Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Xidian University in China from July 2010 to June 2015. Kai Cao earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and holds both a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Shaanxi Normal University.
