Since 2012, Girl Up Initiative Uganda (GUIU) has provided young women and girls with opportunities to succeed and thrive as leaders in their communities through holistic education and economic empowerment. 

We envision a world where girls are given the opportunity to reach and tap into their full potential through access to formal and non-formal education, economic inclusion, skills-building, and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.

The Program Management Team at Girl Up Initiative Uganda oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various community-driven programs aimed at empowering young women and girls. This team ensures the effective delivery of education, economic inclusion, skills-building, and SRH services. They coordinate activities across different programs, monitor progress, assess impacts, and support beneficiaries to achieve their full potential.

Program Management Team

The Seamstress Team at Girl Up Initiative Uganda, under the Mazuri Designs project, is dedicated to creating high-quality, handcrafted textiles and garments. They work collaboratively to design, produce, and sell unique fashion items, while also training young women in sewing and entrepreneurial skills to foster economic empowerment and sustainability within the community.
