Betty Chiang

Betty Chiang is a seasoned professional in the medical affairs field, currently serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Virology and Vice President of Global Oncology Medical Affairs at Gilead Sciences since August 2006. With extensive experience, Betty has held several leadership positions, including Interim Head of Global Medical Affairs for Oncology and Vice President of International Medical Affairs. Prior to Gilead, Betty was an Executive Director overseeing Public Health and Medical Affairs for Access Operations and Emerging Markets, along with roles as Field Director and Director of Hepatitis Medical Sciences at New York Downtown Hospital from July 1997 to July 2006, where Betty also served as an Attending Physician. Betty holds an M.D. from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed Internal Medicine training at New York University Medical Center.
