More than Hospice

You may know Gilchrist best for the care we provide people near the end of life. Yet, we offer so much more than hospice. Above all, today’s Gilchrist extends services to individuals with serious illness who need care and support well in advance of hospice care. While we provide hospice care for children and adults, we also provide counseling and support before and after the loss of a loved one.

This department provides comprehensive medical, emotional, and spiritual support for patients in hospice care and their families.

Hospice Care Services

The Clinical Management Team at Gilchrist oversees and coordinates the delivery of comprehensive medical, emotional, social, and spiritual care for patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses. They ensure the implementation of Gilchrist's mission by managing clinical staff, developing care plans, and liaising between patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate informed decision-making and provide compassionate support throughout the illness journey.

Clinical Management Team

This department provides direct patient care and medical support to ensure health and recovery.

Nursing Services

The Leadership Team at Gilchrist, composed of the President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Philanthropy and Marketing Officer, and Chief Integration Officer, is responsible for guiding the organization’s strategic vision and ensuring effective implementation of its mission. They oversee clinical and financial operations, philanthropic efforts, marketing initiatives, and organizational integration to provide comprehensive, compassionate care and support for individuals with serious illnesses across Central Maryland.

This department focuses on building and managing relationships to generate support and funding for community programs and strategic initiatives.

Philanthropy and Partnerships

The Business Development team at Gilchrist is responsible for fostering strategic relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing community partnerships. They aim to expand the reach of Gilchrist’s compassionate care services and ensure the organization's mission and vision are effectively communicated to potential partners and stakeholders. Through their efforts, the team helps to increase awareness and access to Gilchrist's comprehensive, coordinated care for individuals with serious and life-limiting illnesses.
