Mark Cuddy is the Founding Artistic Director of The Classics Company, established in 2025 to produce and preserve classical playwrights, beginning with Anton Chekhov. With over 45 years of experience in theatre leadership, Mark retired from Geva Theatre Center after 27 years, where they transformed it into a prominent regional theater serving over 3 million audiences. Mark previously held the role of Artistic Director at Sacramento Theatre Company and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and they also served as Interim Artistic Director at the Cleveland Play House. Mark's contributions to the arts have been recognized through various awards, including the “Professional Artist of the Year” in 1995. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with Honors from the University of Massachusetts.
