Susan Cathey currently serves as a Senior Principal at Geosyntec Consultants, focusing on the growth of energy and energy transition projects throughout various phases from pre-investment to operations. With over 30 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety leadership, Susan has held significant roles such as Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Permitting Specialist at Boston Government Services and Permit Advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to these positions, Susan was with Air Liquide, leading global engineering initiatives and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into substantial capital projects. Educationally, Susan is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Sciences at UTHealth Houston and holds a Master’s in Industrial Hygiene/Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, as well as a Bachelor’s in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
