Chris Mottaz is currently the RESS Engineering Lead at General Motors Orion Assembly, where they oversee a team responsible for designing and maintaining the battery module and battery pack assembly processes for electric vehicles. Previously, Chris held various engineering roles at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, including as a Quality Lead and Validation Engineer. Chris earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. With a strong background in dimensional performance engineering, Chris has contributed to the development of key automotive models, including the GMC Hummer and Cadillac CT4 and CT5.
