Shriji Patel MD MBA serves as the Lead Medical Director at Genentech since January 2023, specializing in early and late-stage drug development, clinical trial planning, execution, data analysis, and regulatory interactions. Concurrently, Shriji holds the position of Vabysmo Clinical Science Lead and Medical Director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where involvement spans from Associate Professor to Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. Previous experience includes a Surgical Retina Fellowship and Ophthalmology Residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers, a Master's in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management, and a forthcoming Certificate in Business Strategy from Harvard Business School Online. Shriji also holds a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology and Behavior from Columbia University.
