Vera Silva is currently the Chief Strategy and Technology Officer at GE Vernova’s Electrification Systems, where they lead strategy and technology for this multibillion-dollar global business. With 25 years of experience, Vera has held key positions in academia, utilities, and technology providers, contributing significantly to the energy transition and the transformation of electricity grids. Prior roles include Director of Electricity Systems and Markets at EDF and Vice President of T&D Europe, as well as research positions at renowned institutions such as Imperial College London. Vera is an esteemed member of the Académie des Technologies and the US National Academy of Engineering.
