Usman Afzal currently serves as the Head of the Project Management Office at Gatwick Airport, where responsibilities include design management, risk management, and providing assurance across construction projects since November 2014. Prior to this role, Usman held various positions at Biffa, including Senior Process and Development Analyst and Pricing Analyst, focusing on process improvement and pricing strategies from September 2009 to October 2014. Earlier experience includes roles as a Carrier Pre-Sales Engineer and Sales Support Specialist at Nortel, where Usman contributed to significant contract wins, and as a Project Coordinator at DCS Corporation Plc, responsible for new product development. Usman’s educational background includes a BEng in Computer & Communication Systems Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
