Phillip Shattan is a Senior Principal in Cybersecurity Research at Gartner since September 2019, specializing in topics such as talent, secure behavior, risk frameworks, and cyber risk quantification. Previously, Phillip served as Research Principal and Senior Research Specialist at Lumina Analytics from August 2018 to April 2019, where analysis of open-source data was conducted for identifying various risks. Earlier experience includes a role as an Intelligence Analyst at ECOVIS Beijing and as a Business Development Assistant. Phillip also worked as an Oral English Teacher at The Center For Teaching and Learning in China from August 2014 to June 2016. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, East Asian Studies, and History from the University of Rochester.
