Margaret Houston has extensive experience in photography and editorial roles, currently serving as Photo Editor at Garden & Gun Magazine, LLC since January 2012. Responsibilities include assigning photographers, negotiating rates, and coordinating both large and small-scale shoots, as well as collaborating with the Digital Director on visual goals for digital projects. Margaret has developed strong relationships with major agencies and contracted artists for video projects. Previous roles included Assistant Photo Editor, where production coordination and image library maintenance were key tasks. Prior to this, Margaret worked as a Freelance Photographer and Photography Assistant from 2010 to 2013. Education includes a B.A. in Studio Art from Roanoke College and ongoing studies at the Agean Center for the Fine Arts.
