Sheila McCarthy is an experienced security strategist currently serving as a Senior Security Strategist at Fortinet since January 2018, where responsibilities include leading the Insider Threat Program and the Global Security Awareness & Training Program. Prior to this role, McCarthy worked as a Target Digital Network Analyst/Exploit Agent at the National Security Agency from February 2009 to January 2018, with earlier career experience as a Senior Applications Analyst at the Social Security Administration and an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President at Black & Decker. McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Information Systems and a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Information Systems for Business from The Johns Hopkins University, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
