Derek Spradlin is an experienced professional specializing in engineering and risk management. Currently serving as the Account Engineering Group Manager at FM Global since 2020, they have held various roles including Field Engineering Group Manager and Senior Account Engineer, focusing on property insurance and loss prevention in industries such as mining and power generation. Prior to their tenure at FM Global, Derek served in the United States Navy from 1991 to 1999 as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Mechanic and Chemistry & Radiological Controls Technician. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an Associate degree in Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State University.
