Prof. Hamid A. Toliyat is the Robert Kennedy ’26 Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University and serves as Chief Scientist at FluxWorks, Inc., which they co-founded in 2021. They received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1982, followed by a Master's degree from West Virginia University in 1986, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1991. Prof. Toliyat has published extensively, with over 180 journal papers and 385 conference papers, and has made significant contributions to the fields of electrical machines and power electronics. They have received numerous awards, including the IEEE Nikola Tesla Field Award and multiple honors from Texas A&M University.
