Miles Hammac, P.E. is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving at Florida Power & Light Company since December 2021, Miles specializes in grid automation and static var compensation while also focusing on substation animal guarding and mitigation. Prior to this role, Miles worked as a distribution P&C engineer for the United States Air Force and held various positions at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, including energy control engineer and transmission planning engineer. Earlier career development included a distribution engineer's assistant role at Escambia River Electric Cooperative and experience in customer service at Bondurant Lumber and Hardware.
