Cassandra Brown, Ph.D., is a seasoned educational leader currently serving as Program Director at Florida State University since July 2023. With extensive experience in the Florida Department of Education, Cassandra has held the roles of Director, Assistant Director, and Program Specialist since June 2018. Previous positions include teaching seventh and eighth-grade civics and language arts at Leon County Schools, where Cassandra worked from October 2013 to June 2018, as well as serving as an Education Pioneer Fellow at LEAD Public Schools. Additionally, Cassandra has contributed to the Florida Department of Education as Coordinator of Postsecondary Readiness and has held positions in student fieldwork coordination and educational assessment at various institutions. Cassandra holds a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Florida State University, along with a Master's in English Education and a Bachelor's in English, Psychology, and Secondary Education.
