Octavio Gómez de la Fuente is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the payment industry, specializing in issuing, acquiring core banking, and cash management products. Currently, as the Acquiring Products Latin America North Head at Fiserv, they oversee the merchant acquiring business across multiple countries, leading product strategy and compliance. Previously, Octavio held various roles at First Data Merchant Services, including Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager, where they significantly contributed to platform improvements and launched non-banking acquiring services in Mexico. They began their career at BANAMEX BANCO NACIONAL DE MEXICO, focusing on product management and quality control. Octavio holds a degree in Electronics, Optoelectronics, and Communications from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
