Martin Ossig is currently the VP of R&D at FARO Technologies, where they focus on 3D laser scanner development. They previously held the position of Technical Director R&D at FARO from 2005 to 2019. Prior to that, Martin served as the Head of Software Development and Technical Director at iQvolution from 2001 to 2005, and as the Head of Software Development for eM-Plant at Tecnomatix from 1998 to 2001. Their career began as a Software Developer and Team Lead 3D group at Aesop GmbH from 1996 to 1998. Martin earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Stuttgart, where they studied from 1986 to 1996.
