Tiffany Wilgar, Ph.D., currently serves as an elected member of the Academic Council at Fairfield University, notably the first non-tenure track faculty member to hold this position. Alongside this role, Tiffany chairs the LGBT+ Faculty and Staff Affinity Group, acts as a faculty advisor for the Fairfield Gender and Sexuality Alliance and Cura Retreat for Queer Students, and contributes to the development of the Rhetoric and Professional Writing Minor. Tiffany has taught various courses including Multimedia Writing, Technical Writing, and Introduction to Rhetoric and Composition. Previous experience includes teaching positions at Appalachian State University and the University of South Florida, as well as roles as a graduate assistant at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Tiffany holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of South Florida, a Master's degree in English from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the same institution.
