Ioannis Hadjiyiannis is currently the Head of the Unit "Horizontal Policies" at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM) and the Head of the Athens Office since September 2018. They are responsible for developing strategic priorities and coordinating technical support for Member States’ Recovery and Resilience Plans. Previously, they assisted in managing the EU's response to the migration crisis in Greece and worked as a project manager and legal advisor within the European Commission. Ioannis studied law at King's College London, the Catholic University of Leuven, and earned a postgraduate degree from Columbia University in New York, and is admitted to the Bars of New York and Cyprus.
