Matthew Couch has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Research Student at CERN in 1987. Matthew then became a Project Manager at Logica from 1991 to 2012. Following this, they joined CGI as a Project Manager in 2013. In 2015, Matthew joined EUMETSAT as the MTG Mission Operations Facility Technical Manager until 2016. Matthew then transitioned to the role of Service Delivery Manager (CGI) - Ground Segment Integration, Verification & Validation at EUMETSAT.
Matthew Couch completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics from The University of Manchester from 1984 to 1987. Matthew then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1991.
