Espen Halvorsen is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in production technology and optimization. Currently serving as the Leader of Subsurface Operation at Equinor since October 2016, Espen has also held the title of Discipline Leader in Production Technology. Prior to Equinor, Espen worked at Statoil from October 2007 to August 2015, advancing through positions including Discipline Lead and Leading Advisor for Production Monitoring & Optimisation. Earlier experience includes roles as an Advisor and Production Engineer at Hydro from 1997 to 2007, where Espen contributed to the Brage and Oseberg East assets. Espen began the career at Odfjell Drilling as a trainee from 1996 to 1997. Espen holds a Master of Science degree in Petroleum from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), earned between 1991 and 1995.
