Dave Hunter is the Founder and CEO of Optimal Agriculture, established in January 2018, focusing on advanced greenhouse operating platforms. Additionally, as a Venture Advisor at Entrepreneur First since October 2022, Dave conducts weekly advisory sessions for Deep Tech, Climate, and Ag-focused companies. Previously, from September 2009 to July 2012, Dave served as the Head of Algorithmic Trading Product and Quantitative Strategies at Deutsche Bank, managing a large quant trading team that traded a significant portion of the European stock market volume. Earlier roles included positions at Credit Suisse in the AES Algorithmic Trading Team and UBS Investment Bank, as well as pilot training with the Royal Air Force, where Dave earned a university scholarship and completed comprehensive flying training. Dave holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London.
