Shaan Swaris serves as Corporate M&A Counsel and M&A and Corporate Development Secondee at Entain since April 2023, following experience as an Associate at Ashurst from April 2022 to March 2023, where responsibilities included working on M&A, joint ventures, and disposals. Prior to Ashurst, Shaan was a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons from August 2019 to February 2022, specializing in corporate M&A transactions and complex advisory matters. Earlier roles include a Solicitor position at Herbert Smith Freehills focused on corporate matters in energy, resources, and real estate, as well as various clerkships and paralegal roles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Herbert Smith Freehills. Shaan holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Business (Finance) from QUT, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance from UNSW, and financial modeling coursework from the University of Sydney.
