Manuel Lopez is currently the Chief Software Engineer at Emerson in Test and Measurement since 2025. Previously, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft from 2022 to 2025 and as the Chief Software Engineer at National Instruments from 2000 to 2022. Manuel began their career as a Software Engineer at AMI GE International from 1998 to 2000, specializing in the automation of the steel melting process and development of drivers. They hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, awarded in 1997.
