Daniel Spillman is an Assistant General Patent Counsel and Associate Vice President at Eli Lilly and Company, where they manage intellectual property for the Lilly Medical Device organization. With a background as an IP attorney in both corporate and legal firm settings, Daniel has built extensive experience in risk management, patent procurement, and client counseling across various technologies. Their prior roles include serving as Intellectual Property Corporate Counsel at Caterpillar Inc. and as a Marketing Engineer at York International and Trane. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law.
