Michael Sibanda, MSc. CEng MIMechE, APMP, currently serves as the Area Engineering Lead at EDF (UK). Prior to this role, Michael worked at AMEC Nuclear UK Ltd as a Project Manager and at Eskom - PBMR as the Plant Systems Engineering Manager. With a background in Power Plant Engineering, Michael has extensive experience in managing plant engineering issues, safety case development, and overseeing various committees and working groups related to nuclear power. Previous roles include serving as a Senior Systems Engineer-Electrical and Shift Manager at Duvha Power Station. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and ensure plant operations run smoothly and efficiently.
