Ellen Sofie Hiberg Ottesen currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Edda Wind, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Ellen held various leadership positions at Eidesvik Offshore ASA from June 2007 to October 2023, including Chief Technology Officer, Director of Sustainability, Fleet Manager Subsea/Offshore Wind, VP Projects and Newbuilds, and Project Manager. Additionally, Ellen has served as Chair of the Board for the Maritime Battery Forum from March 2023 to March 2025. Earlier experience includes working as an Approval Engineer at DNV GL from March 2003 to June 2007 and as a Project Engineer at the Norwegian Coastal Administration from December 1996 to March 2003. Ellen holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
