Monte Thompson has a diverse work experience across several industries. Monte started as a Welder/Burner at McGinnis Inc. from 1994 to 2000. Then, they worked as a Team Leader at Liebert Corporation from 2000 to 2005. After that, they joined SunCoke Energy as a Heat Recovery Area Supervisor, where they stayed from 2005 to 2022. In 2022, Monte became a Senior Manager, Plant Operations KY at Liberty, where they worked until 2023. From 2023 onwards, they joined Eco Material Technologies, initially as a Plant Manager and later as the Director of Operations, Harvesting.

Monte Thompson has an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Ohio University. Monte also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Management - BASM in Business Management from Ohio University-Southern Campus. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Stationary Steam Engineer from the State of Ohio in 2008.
