Noemi Tejera

Noemi Tejera, PhD, is currently serving as a Curator at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI since March 2023. Previously, Noemi held the position of Bioanalytical Scientist at Quadram Institute from October 2018 to February 2023, specializing in small molecule analysis utilizing mass spectrometry, HPLC, and GC. As a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia's Medical School from September 2012 to September 2018, Noemi focused on studies concerning the relevance of omega-3 fatty acids and flavonoids for human health. Noemi's earlier roles include Postdoctoral Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (April 2009 - March 2012), where research involved biochemical interactions in COX-2 and 5-lipoxygenase pathways, and the oxidative metabolites of curcumin. Noemi's academic background includes a PhD in Lipid and Carotenoids Biochemistry from Universidad de La Laguna, complemented by postdoctoral training in pharmacology at Vanderbilt University.
