Noni Session is a Co-founder and Executive Director of the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, which focuses on empowering BIPOC and allied communities to engage in collectively-owned land and housing. As a cultural anthropologist and grassroots organizer from West Oakland, Noni brings a wealth of experience from various initiatives, including leading the 7th Street Thrives Corridor Revitalization Initiative and co-founding BlacSpace Cooperative. Noni's academic background includes a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Black Studies from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University. A former Fulbright-Hays fellow, Noni has also contributed to community development strategies globally and led civic action networks to address local resource disparities.
