Brian Dewey has a strong background in software engineering and program management. Brian started their career at Microsoft in 1998 as a Principal Group Program Manager and worked there for 13 years. After leaving Microsoft, they joined Urbanspoon as a Senior Software Developer for a year before moving on to Facebook in 2012. At Facebook, they worked as a Software Engineer for 7 years. Most recently, they joined Duolingo in 2019 as a Software Engineer, where they currently work.
Brian Dewey completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from William & Mary from 1992 to 1996. Brian then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, which they attended from 1996 to 1998.
