Jonathan E. Spanier is the Hess Family Endowed Chair Professor in engineering and physics and serves as the Head of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics at Drexel University. They have held various academic positions at Drexel, including Professor, Associate Dean, and Interim Department Head, and have contributed significantly to the university’s research facilities. Previously, they worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University and as an R&D engineer at Kulite Semiconductor Products Inc. Jonathan holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Columbia University, an MS in Engineering from The Catholic University of America, and a BA in Physics and Music from Drew University.
