Heather Fields is currently the Principal of Douglas County School System, a position they transitioned to after serving as an Assistant Principal at Douglas County Public Schools from 2008 to 2015. Prior to this, they taught 3rd and 4th grades at Beulah Elementary and Chapel Hill Elementary, where they were recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2001-2002. Heather holds a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, as well as Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. They have also actively participated in various educational leadership teams and development initiatives throughout their career.
