Tudor Oprea, MD PhD, is a seasoned drug hunter and the Chief Executive Officer of Expert Systems Inc. Oprea has held significant roles, including Associate Director at AstraZeneca and Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of New Mexico, emphasizing translational research informatics. They have contributed to the development of multiple ML models in early-phase drug discovery, and co-developed DrugCentral, an online drug compendium. Oprea earned a PhD in Molecular Physiology and has nine US patents, with several small molecules progressing to clinical trials.
