Jens Hurst has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Jens started their professional career as a Structural Engineering Intern at CH2M HILL in December 2011. After their internship, they joined Ovivo as a Structural Engineer in March 2013. Jens then moved to HNTB in November 2013, where they worked as a Bridge Engineer until May 2016. Following this role, they joined R2H Engineering, Inc. as a Structures Engineer in May 2016 and worked there until February 2018. Currently, Jens is employed at Horrocks Engineers as a Structures Engineer.

Jens Hurst completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from Utah State University, a four-year educational program that they attended from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Structural Engineering at the University of Washington for the duration of one year from 2011 to 2012.
