Pedro Pablo Mayorga Alvarez has worked in various roles since 2007. Pedro Pablo started as an Associate Professor at TECNOLÓGICO DE MONTERREY in 2007, then moved to Instituto Tecnologico de Tuxtla Gutierrez as an Associate Professor in 2009. In 2012, they began working as a Principal Research Scientist at Universidad Politécnica de Chiapas. In 2017, they joined Cienciamed as a Mathematician & CTO, where they developed several projects aiming to detect the origin of mental disorders based on symptoms and biological data. Finally, in 2022 they joined Divinia as a Software Consultant.

Pedro Pablo Mayorga Alvarez has an extensive educational background, beginning with an Engineer's degree in Computational Systems from the Instituto Tecnologico de Tuxtla Gutierrez, which they obtained between 1998 and 2002. Pedro Pablo then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science and Mathematics from Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT) between 2004 and 2006. Afterwards, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 2009 and 2013. In 2013, they obtained a (EC0217) Impartición de cursos de formación del capital humano de manera presencial grupal certification from Conocer. Most recently, they obtained a Professional Certification on Advanced Machine Learning for Big Data and Text Processing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019.
