Eric Smith is an experienced bioinformatics manager with a strong background in both technical and personnel leadership. They served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Indiana University Bloomington from 2017 to 2020 and were previously a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Riverside, where they studied evolutionary and population genetics. Their research experience includes work on immune pathway and vitellogenesis genes in fathead minnows as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of St. Thomas. Currently, they hold the position of Bioinformatics Manager at Diversigen, Inc., where they apply their extensive knowledge and skills in bioinformatics.
