Rajnish Kumar has a diverse career spanning over two decades, with significant roles in various governmental and educational organizations. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Digital India Corporation since June 2023, Rajnish also held the position of Director (Capacity Building & Finance) at the National e-Governance Division. Prior to this, Rajnish was the Director of Digital Education at the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education, from October 2018 to June 2023. Experience at Indian Railways included serving as Director of Vigilance and as a Professor of IT at the National Academy of Indian Railways. Earlier roles also encompassed responsibilities in production and machine procurement as Dy Chief Mechanical Engineer. Rajnish’s career commenced with an engineering role in the Indian Navy. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Management) from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur.
