Drue Pearce served in various significant roles in public service, including as a member of the Alaska State Legislature from 1989 to 2001, where they held leadership positions such as Senate President and co-chair of the Senate Finance Committee. Drue was nominated by President George W. Bush as the first Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects from 2006 to 2010, and acted as Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Alaska Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior from 2001 to 2006. Currently, Drue is a Counselor to the Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior and involved with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration as Acting Administrator. Drue's educational background includes a Mid-Career MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and ongoing studies in Biological Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington.
