Nik Steinberg serves as the Chief Speechwriter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, a role that follows extensive experience in governmental and non-profit sectors. Previously, they held positions as Chief Speechwriter and Counselor to Ambassador Samantha Power, and as a Senior Policy Advisor. They were also a Senior Researcher at Human Rights Watch from 2008 to 2014 and Deputy Director for Columbia World Projects until 2021. Early in their career, Nik worked as an American India Foundation Fellow with People’s Watch Tamil Nadu and served as a Communications Policy Associate with NetAid.
