Nick Smagula is a civil service professional currently serving as the Chief of Staff for Arms Control & Nonproliferation at the U.S. Department of State. Previously, Nick held positions such as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation and Congressional Affairs Officer for the same bureau. Nick's early career includes experiences as an Interim Aquatics Director and a Division I Student-Athlete with The George Washington University's Men's Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. They earned a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University, graduating Cum Laude, and hold a certificate in Business Analytics from Udacity.
